The Billing page shows your billing cycle, your plan, what you have spent so far, the usage of each camera and your invoices.
Who it is for: Admins. Operators have no access to billing.
Watch:
At the top, the Billing cycle bar shows the start and end date, the days left and how much of the cycle has passed. Below it are three cards:
Card | Meaning |
|---|---|
Plan | Your plan, the price per camera and the number of cameras. Billed monthly. |
Spend this cycle | Cost so far in the current billing cycle, split into subscription and overage. |
Account status | Trial |
During the trial a banner Trial active is shown below the cards, with the button Set up payment.
This table has one row per camera. Use Search camera or site to find a camera. Rows per page sets how many cameras the table shows.
Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
Camera, Site | Which camera. |
Subscription | The monthly subscription cost of this camera. |
Alarms this cycle | Alarms received from this camera in the current cycle. |
Fair-use quota | The number of alarms that are included for this camera. |
Overage | Alarms above the quota. |
Cost | Total for this camera in this cycle. |
Filters above the table: All, Over fair use, Near limit. Each filter shows its number of cameras.
During the trial, Subscription shows Free in trial, Fair-use quota shows No quota in trial, and the table has no Overage column. Costs and quotas apply once your paid plan starts.
Each camera includes a number of alarms per billing cycle. This is the fair-use quota. Alarms above the quota are charged as overage. The quota and the prices depend on your plan. They are shown on the Billing page and in your agreement.
In the section Payment you can switch on two e-mail alerts:
If cameras are over the quota, a banner Cameras over fair use appears. Click Show over-quota cameras to filter the table.
Symptom | Cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
"No camera usage found for this cycle." | No camera has sent alarms in this cycle, or the cycle has just started. | Check Sites & Cameras: are devices in the status Receiving alarms? |
"Invoice PDF is not available yet." | The invoice for this period is not generated yet. | Try again later. |
A camera has a very high alarm count | A detection rule on the camera triggers too often, for example because of trees, rain or headlights. | Adjust the camera. Check in Recordings what the alarms show. |
You did not receive the invoice e-mail | The admin e-mail is not verified, or the mail is in the spam folder. | Verify the e-mail address. Check spam. Download the PDF from Invoices. |
Is a camera billed when it sends no alarms? The rules for billable devices depend on your plan. The Billing page shows for each camera what is charged in the current cycle.
Are alarms removed by the false alarm filter counted in the usage? The column Alarms this cycle counts alarms received from the camera. Ask NXGEN support if you need the exact counting rule for your plan.
Who receives the invoice? The admin of the account, by e-mail. All invoices are also available on the Billing page.
Can an operator see the billing? No. Only admins can open Billing.
